The chill in the Carolinas adds an extra challenge to an already tough game. But as southerners, who are we to complain? Having grown up in the northeast, I would have welcomed 40-something windy degrees without snow on the ground. Yet, as a spoiled southern golfer, I’ll wait for warmer days. Cold golf can still be enjoyable. Bermuda greens offer a smooth roll without the grain. No “3-card monty” warm weather tricks here—just the fast and clean play reminiscent of the bent I grew up on. The rough lies dormant, tempting with flier lies galore. Perhaps I’ll hit the range or tee box when it reaches 50 degrees…
With over a decade entrenched in the golf world, I’ve amassed a treasure trove of golf knowledge and experiences begging to be shared.
Introducing The Golf Custodian—a blog and content aggregator dedicated to the game of golf. Our mission? To nurture the growth of the game authentically, sharing stories, tips, pace of play insights, and other social aspects of golf. We’re not about being sponsored by equipment maker x or seltzer brand y; we’re about cultivating a genuine love for the sport. Welcome to The Golf Custodian.
Let’s tee off on this journey together.
